E-R model

E-R model  को 1976 में peter ने प्रस्तावित किया था। E-R  मॉडल का उपयोग real-world की conceptual schema को प्रस्तुत करने के लिए किया जाता है। E-R model डेटाबेस के conceptual view को define करता है।

E-R model को E-R diagram भी कहते है क्योंकि यह entities को graphical रूप से represent करता है और entities के मध्य relationship को दर्शाता है।

Components of E-R MODEL:-

E-R MODEL दो मुख्य components पर आधारित है; पहला entities और दूसरा उनके मध्य relationships.

ENTITY:- एक entity कोई भी person, place और real word object हो सकता है। जैसे Customer id, customer name और Customer city आदि attributes है जिन्हें customer entity में define किया गया है। E-R diagram में entity को rectangles के द्वारा प्रदर्शित किया जाता है।

Entity sets:- एक entity set एक ही प्रकार के entities का एक समूह है जोे समान properties(गुण) share करता है।
